    • This presentation will explore the application of a new battery safety technology “SafeCore” to EV battery packs. SafeCore acts as a fuse within the individual battery cell to prevent lithium-ion batteries from being the source of fire or explosion due to overcharge and internal short. Amionx will highlight the work it has done in large format EV battery cells and discuss the potential to utilize the technology to enable a more efficient EV pack design (lighter with increased range) as well as the application of the technology to next generation chemistries.
